An Xbox Live Gold account isn’t needed unless you want online multiplayer
After a short beta test, Electronic Arts has launched its Xbox One subscription serviceEA Access.
The program also offers early access to demos for games likeMadden NFL 15,NHL 15, andDragon Age: Inquisition, as well as a 10 percent discount on EA-related digital purchases for Xbox One including full game downloads and DLC.

On paper, the service sounds decent — surprisingly decent, given that this is EA — but I’d highly recommend waiting and seeing how it pans out over the next few months before subscribing.
