Since Nintendo is deadset on transforming the DS into a portable necessity you use for everything (except phone calls, of course, that would be too handy!), it makes perfect sense that you should be able to learn about how the economy works using the little handheld.
Never one to miss an opportunity, Nintendo has struck up a deal with Tokyo stock market index Nikkei to produce a DS title that teaches the basics of how the economy works by using learning games and quizzes. The game will be touch-screen based, but there is no news on whether it will come out in North America. I sincerely doubt it, as its more the American tradition to ignore the state of the economy than approach it with understanding.
