Riot Games has rolled out the latestValorantpatch, featuring a ton of bug fixes for PC and console versions of the game. Most of the patchwork for the PC version involves bug fixes. However, some significant changes have been made to the console version ofValorant, which is currently in its limited beta stage.

The Deathmatch mode has been temporarily disabled on consoles at the moment due to an unspecified issue. Riot Games says that the mode will remain unavailable until a fix can be rolled out.

Riot has also disabled the Surrender menus temporarily because some players were getting locked on the Surrender menus for the entire duration of a round. While the Surrender and Remake menus are disabled, the Draw menu will still be available.

However,Valorant patch 9.01also brings good news for console players who wish to alter their Ability button mappings on the controller. All non-ultimate Ability buttons can now be mapped freely by console players. There is now an option for players to invert map cursor control controls as well.

The previous patch brought ranked to consoles, but with a limited number of maps to begin with. Now, Lotus has entered the Competitive mode in Valorant alongside its availability in Unrated, Swift Play, and Deathmatch.

For starters, Iso’s nerf which was listed in Episode 9’s first patch is now live. This means that Iso can no longer regain his signature ability called Double Tap which could be restored after securing two kills on console. Furthermore, the duration of Double Tap has been reduced from 20 seconds to just 12 seconds.

Agents such as Neon have also been slightly altered inValorant, and their re-equip speed has increased from Fast to Instant. Raze’s Blast Pack ability has also been tweaked, with her second Blast Pack’s horizontal force reduced, which is likely an attempt to set limitations on how the Blast Pack might be used for movement.
