Sukeban Games, developers of the influentialVA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action, have revealed that they are working on a game outside their established series..45 Parabellum Bloodhounddeparts from the visual novel format to present something closer to a quasi-turn-based RPG.
.45 Parabellum Bloodhoundbills itself as an “Active Time Action” game. If you’re canny, you’ll recognize right away that this is essentially the combat system from 1998’sParasite Eve. Essentially, you have aFinal Fantasy-style ATB gauge that indicates when you can do an action, but while that’s filling, you can move about to dodge attacks. That is apparently “where comparisons end” toParasite Eve.

According to the provided information, you play as Reila Mikazuch, “a killing machine emerging from depression looking to rebuild her life doing what she knows best. A path well-traveled where the consequences are known, but is her biggest foe really in front of her gun?”
The announcement also addresses the often delayedN1RV Ann-A, the follow-up toVA-11 Hall-A. The statement is that there’s no news. Sorry. Apparently,.45 Parabellum Bloodhoundis ahead of it in development and will be where Christopher Ortiz focuses their attention for the “foreseeable future.”

As for when.45 Parabellum Bloodhound, Sukeban is currently just saying “when it’s done” but promises monthly devlogs. It’s currently planned for PC.
