Anticipation is high for the nextGrand Theft Autotitle, and Rockstar has just confirmed that we’ll get to see our first official glimpse of it on December 5 at 9 AM ET.
Rockstar hasn’t said much at all regarding the upcoming game, and it hasn’t been confirmed whether it will be titledGrand Theft Auto 6. Despite this, leaks and reports from reputable sources have given us an idea of what might be coming.

According to Schreier’s reports, the game will be set in Vice City, which is styled after Miami. This aligns with what we saw in the major leak in 2022which resulted in a teen getting arrested. The Tweet revealing the trailer’s debut time also seems to hint at this, as it features a background with palm trees and tropical colors. Reports and leaks also suggest that we may be getting at least two playable characters, with one being thefirst female protagonist in the franchise’s history.

A historic moment for gaming
GTA 5launched in 2013, leaving us with the longest wait ever for a newGTAtitle. The desire for a new title in the franchise is evident from the staggering amount of engagement Sam Houser’s Tweet announcing the new trailer received. It has since been viewed over 183.3 million times and collected 1.6 million likes.
We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you.Thank you,Sam Houser

PastGTAreveal trailers haven’t failed to generate great hype.GTA 5‘s trailer currently sits at over 92 million views, and it holds the world record for themost viewed trailer for an action-adventure video game. I have fond memories ofGTA 4‘s trailer crashing Rockstar’s site, causing people to flood YouTube where they were promptly rickrolled.
Now that Dan Houser has left Rockstar, and there are reports that the company has had achange in its workplace culture, there’s no telling how the nextGTAgame will set itself apart from its iconic predecessors.
