Maybe try and stay off the game until it’s fixed
If you’ve been playingThe Divisionon Xbox One, but haven’t had time to check out the new patch yet, you may want to take a short break from the game. There have been a lot of reports that the new update is deleting characters.
Players haveflocked to redditto complain that their Xbox One characters have been wiped by the most recent update. The problem seems to be almost exclusively affecting the Xbox One version of the game. If you’re on PC or PS4, your character is almost definitely safe.
Massive doesn’t quite know what is causing the problem yet. It saysit will be looking through each individual reportto try and identify what’s going on.
Unfortunately, it’s not given any suggested timescale for a fix, and we also don’t know if a server rollback to restore characters will be possible. According to Massive, we’ll have “more information as soon as we can”.
