Previously available for the Prepare to Die edition
What do you do when you beatDark Soulsmyriad times, with every build, platinum or 1000/1000 the game, and master it? You mod it.
Dark Soulson PC has served the modding community well for nearlyseven yearsnow by way of the highly customizablePrepare to Dieedition, but now folks have to deal with theRemasterededition as the former was pulled from sale.Prepareowners had the chance to boot up theDaughters of Ashmod earlier this year, which added a hefty amount of content and features to the already packed world (you can get a whiff of everything below), and nowRemasteredplayers can too (take note of theDaughters‘ “obvious disclaimer,” to not play mods online).

Mod master Scott Mooney managed to get the mod working with the remaster all quick-like, and a new build is now available for download. The big takeaways are new boss battles focused on tactical gameplay, more lore, and new NPCs. Mooney says that the mod amounted to “more than one thousand hours of work” throughout 2017 and 2018, which doesn’t seem to include the time put into getting it up and running withRemastered.
