Tecmo Koei has just informed us thatKagero: Dark Side Princesswill be coming to America and Europe asDeception IV: Blood Ties. Set to arrive on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in 2014, the game will be a re-imagining of theDeceptionfranchise, a classic PlayStation console series that tasks players with setting up devious traps in various sandboxes to ward off invaders. It’ll be handled by the producer of theFatal Frameseries, which indicates that it’s more than just a pet project. Props to Tecmo Koei for continuing to support the Vita!
I absolutelylove the trap genre, andDeceptionis one of my favorite gaming franchises of all time. It sounds weird, but this just moved up there withDark Souls IIas one of my most anticipated titles of 2014.
