The video has since been set to private, butGematsucaught wind of it beforehand and saved a screenshot of the description for posterity’s sake. Not only did it mention the release date, but it also revealed there will be two special editions—a Gold Edition and an Ultimate Edition—which come with a season pass (which confirms post-launch DLC) and three days’ early access. So, anyone who purchases either edition can start playingStar Wars: Outlawsfrom August 27.

Wuyang OW2 ultimate

Announced atlast year’s Xbox Games Showcase,Star Wars: Outlawswas revealed to be the next game fromThe Divisiondeveloper Massive Entertainment. It immediately caught peoples’ attention for being the first fully open worldStar Warsgame, but also for having a protagonist who isn’t a Jedi. Instead, you play as smuggler Kay Vess as she embarks on a journey across multiple planets alongside her cute axolotl looking companion Nix (who is bound to get at least some merchandise).

Back in January, a Disney blog post mentioned howStar Wars: Outlawswasaiming to release in late 2024, a line which was soon rewritten to just say 2024. This suggested it wouldn’t be out until the fall or maybe even Christmas, but it seems Ubisoft is looking to get it in stores slightly earlier. Hopefully, this means development has progressed better than expected. August is a good time to drop a major release like this since, at the time of writing, the month is looking very quiet in terms of new video games, which means less competition for Ubisoft.
