Free-to-play mobile ‘adventure’
Activision has announced a newSkylandersgame calledBattlecast, and it’s a free-to-play mobile card game. I’m guessing they want to get in on that sweetHearthstonemoney (which funnily enough, is part of the same wallet), as the mobile card market has been steadily increasing in the past few years or so.
The publisher promises both online PVP and a single-player campaign, and physical card packs will be sold at retail. It’s crazy how muchSkylandershas grown since its noble beginnings as aSpyrospinoff in 2011. It will drop later this year on iOS and Android.
