Although not super challenging, the first boss of any type inPrince of Persia: The Lost Crownis a miniboss called the Undead Prisoner. The first real challenge of the game, the Undead Prisoners tests the ability of the player to both Parry and evade the boss’s attacks. We’ve put together thisPrince of Persia: The Lost CrownUndead Prisoner miniboss guide to help you secure the kill.
The Undead Prisoner will consistently pull back the massive pillar he’s wielding and begins to charge at you. As you can tell by the red flash indicator, you cannot Parry this attack. Instead, you need to evade it. He may sometimes turn around after and repeat the attack, so be on the lookout and prepared to dodge again if you see the red indicator flash.

Now you need to keep an eye out for the yellow flash indicator, which indicates you can Parry the attack. Typically you need to time this sort of Parry perfectly, as a second too late or early will cause you to fail the Parry and the enemy attack will hit you anyway.
However, as the first miniboss ofPrince of Persia: The Lost Crown, the game will make it easy for you to Parry this attack almost as a tutorial. Doing so will trigger a special counterattack animation where you deal massive damage to the Undead Prisoner. You can pull off these effective Parry counterattacks against all bosses and most enemies, so be sure to keep an eye out for the yellow flesh indicator to do so.

Once you have defeated the Undead Prisoner, you will receive a reward for doing so. Your spoils for killing the Undead Prisoner is a Soma Tree Petal. Once you collect four Soma Tree Petals it becomes a Soma Tree Flower At this point your maximum health is increased, granting you an extra health bar segment.
Hopefully thisPrince of Persia: The Lost CrownUndead Prisoner miniboss guide has everything you need to be successful in your encounter against the Undead Prisoner.
