Capcom’s F2P mobile title seemingly headed to other platforms

Video game ratings board PEGI have released a new age rating for Capcom’sPuzzle Fighter, which all but confirms PS4, Xbox One and PC ports for the pint-sized battler.

The crossover title, which launched last year on iOS and Android, sees characters from a variety of Capcom franchises, such asResident Evil, Street FighterandDevil May Cry, duking it out in strategic, block-busting combat. The game is a revamped version of a similar title,Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, which launched in arcades and on home consoles back in 1996.

The 2017 edition switched up the roster members and added new graphics, designs and features to make the game more suitable for mobile play. Available as a Free-to-Play title, it is also filled with the inevitable glut microtransactions and loot boxes, which I don’t remember from the Sega Saturn port, but I’m getting up there in years.

Now that the proverbial cat is out of the bag, we can probably expect official confirmation from Capcom soon. We will, as always, keep you good people informed.
