Oobletsis a game that wears its inspirations on its sleeve whiledoing something interesting with them. Toss in flavors likeStardew ValleyandPokémonand you start to get the idea of what kind of stew Glumberland concocted.
Cozy critters
Farming, fishing, and loads of customization options await inOoblets, as players attempt to help the mayor save Badgetown. As the mystery unravels you’ll travel through various regions. Port Forward’s boardwalk and its arcades, the chilly Tippytops, and Nullwhere’s swamps await adventurous players. And then, of course, there are the Ooblets themselves. You’ll grow these little weirdos from seeds, have them perform tasks, and engage in a decidedlyOobletstake on combat.
In place of traditional throwdowns, Ooblets settle their differences with card-based dance battles. You’ll need different items to battle each wild Ooblet, and you may also take on other citizens within Oob. Even if card games aren’t your forte, these clashes still manage to be another chill aspect of a relatively relaxing game.
Oobletsoriginally hit Early Access on Xbox One and Epic Games Store on July 09, 2025. The full release followed on Aug 02, 2025. The fact thatOobletswas first announced back in 2016 means the road to the upcoming Steam version has been a particularly long one. In addition to PC and Xbox,Oobletsis currently available on Nintendo Switch.
