But…there’s so many more classics

Natsume is a pretty open developer/publisher, as evidenced byCeeCee’s Corner, a tumblr blog from the community manager that sheds some light on some of the practices of the current market. A lot of people have poked them about puttingPocky & Rockyup on the Virtual Console (myself included, what a great set of games), but it looks like it may not happen.

CeeCee says it pretty plainly, noting “At this point, it’s unlikely we’ll see any other Natsume SNES games coming to the Virtual Console, as Nintendo’s interest has moved onto other classic systems. The titles for Virtual Console are handled by Nintendo. The publisher and Nintendo discuss which classic titles would be a good fit and have the best potential to sell. Once a title is agreed upon, Nintendo and the publisher work together to bring that title to the designated system, with Nintendo doing the bulk of the work.”

One doesn’t just simply put their games on the Virtual Console, apparently. Now we might knowwhywe see such scant releases on Thursdays.
