The IP is too important
Microsoft is working on aHaloseries for television later this year that’s being executive produced by Steven Spielberg. That sentence represents the majority of what we know about the project, but worry not — Microsoft Game Studios corporate VP Phil Spencer says it’ll be good.
“I definitely don’t think of it as filler,” he toldOXM. “Halo, you could argue, is the most important entertainment IP that Microsoft owns. I can’t use the word filler anywhere nearHalo, it just won’t work. If we’re going to do a television series withHalo, we’re going to do it the right way, and we’re going to do it because we think it really matters.”
We shall see. I enjoyedForward Unto Dawnfor what it was, but the words “Halo” and “filler” absolutely can be used in the same sentence, as evidenced bySpartan Assault.
