Maingear’s entry to the Steam Machine market is the small form factor Spark. The system weighs less than one pound, and is smaller than a DVD case. Dimension wise, it’s 4.5” width, 4.23 depth, and 2.34” in height.
Okay, so it’s tiny. Big deal. What’s under the hood is what’s really important. It’s got the AMD A8-5557M 3.1GHz processor, AMD Radeon R9 M275X GDDR5 2GB, and offers up to 16GB of 1600MGz memory. There’s four USB 3.0 ports, one mSATA slot that supports up to 356GB, and one 2.5″HHD tray supporting SATA III 6GB/s.
