Social buzz this morning pointed us to layoffs at Obsidian Entertainment, the developers behind the upcomingSouth ParkRPG. Twitter, blogs and evenObsidian’s forumshave lit up with news of team members being dropped. Quick updates to theLinkedInpages of casualties show that theSouth Parkteam was affected by this round of layoffs. A tipster toldGameBansheethat just started on Monday has been laid off.
From the looks of itan upcoming next-gen game project has also been canceled, most likely something called Project North Carolina.Jason Faderwas said to be the project lead, and now he’s out of a job.
