LEGO Fortnitehas landed on the island! But, given Epic Games’ history with cycling out game modes, some fans are worried this, too, will be a temporary experience.
If other modes such as Fortnite OG — which has been confirmed to bereturning in 2024— can be limited, is it possibleLEGO Fortniteis, too?

Is LEGO Fortnite a limited-time mode, or permanent?
To start,LEGO Fortnitehas entirely new character models built from the ground up for this mode. Its environment is newly built, as well. It almost feels like everything in this experience — from resources to structures and everything in between — was built forLEGO Fortnite. I don’t for a second believe Epic would do all of this additional work to only make this a limited time-mode. In fact, think ofLEGO Fortniteas a fully-fledged game-within-a-game rather than a traditional “mode.”
If I were to theorize for a moment, it’s possible that moving forward,LEGO Fortnitewill receive seasons right alongside its older sibling. I can see this happening if for no other reason than the developers have gone out of their way to assure parents that this game mode is “a game that inspires players’ endless creativity in a familiar, safe and secure environment,” according to the official website’sparents guide. I genuinely believeLEGO Fortnitewas created in response to concerns about the base game’s violence.

In any case, it does appear the team has plans for LEGO Fortnite moving into 2024, so it’s looking to be a very permanent game mode. If this changes for any reason, we’ll be sure to update this page accordingly.
