How to wait and pass the time inStarfield
The only way to wait and pass time inStarfieldis to find a piece of furniture to rest in. Your options are to find a chair, like in the picture above, or a bed. The starting ship only has chairs, so unless you’re a fancy pants, you may not have access to a bed onboard until a little later in the game. You can, however, find both types of furniture on the various planets and inside different types of installations, so keep an eye out.
To wait in a chair, sit down, and you’ll be presented with a prompt to “Wait” by pressing “Y.”
After pressing “Y,” a menu, pictured above, will appear, asking you how long to wait. you’re able to choose any number of hours up to 24. After making your choice, press “A” to confirm, and you’ll be chilling in no time.
The process is similar if you find a bed. However, instead of lying down first, you’ll be immediately prompted to set the amount of time, like in the picture above. Set it in the same way and enjoy your slumber.
