As fans would probably expect by now,Mortal Kombat 1requires players to jump through some hoops to unlock its entire character roster. Havik, the cleric of chaos, isn’t there from the start of the game, but getting him is surprisingly straightforward.
In order to unlock Havik, players need only complete the game’s story mode. The story itself isincredibly convoluted, but the story mode shouldn’t be too challenging. Remember whenMortal Kombatgames required you to beat a massive sub-boss like Goro or Motaro, then face the ridiculously overpowered Shao Khan? Those days are gone. Justkick Shang Tsung’s assand Havik will join your roster.

What have you unleashed onto the world?
Havik first showed up inMortal Kombat: Deception.He originally came from the Chaosrealm, devoid of any interest in the battle between good and evil. His only mission was to cause discord via mischief, so it’s a safe bet to assume that his actions did more harm than good. He was basically the Joker of theMortal Kombatseries — at least up until that crossover where the actual Joker from the DC Comics showed up.
In the new timeline, the new reality created by Liu Kang whereMK 1takes place, Havik actually comes from the Orderrealm. Does this mean that nu-Havik is now all about justice and peace? Nope, not at all. It’s not long until he, justlike the classic Scorpion, becomes overcome with anger and vows to usher in a new age of chaos.
Havik even has the last lines of dialogue in the game, where he states that the next time things will be even more chaotic. Man, I sure doubt he’s talking about the game’s story.
Havik’s playstyle
Havik’s playstyle reflects his personality. His moves are a mishmash of weird techniques that will throw off his enemies at any personal cost. His move set includes things such as spinning his own torso and snapping his own neck. This wild man is completely fine with sacrificing his own well-being if that means he gets to throw off his opponents as a result.
