If you’ve kept an eye onFinal Fantasy XIVnews over the last few weeks, or watched the 82nd Live Letter from the Producer on June 14, you will have seen some of the new minions coming to the game withDawntrail.

One of these minions, the Bluecoat Cat, is accessible early into the expansion, but you’ll need to complete a few steps before you may take this kitty on your travels. And who doesn’t love an adorable kitty? Especially one of this pedigree.

How to get the Bluecoat Cat in Final Fantasy XIV

To get the Bluecoat Cat minion inFFXIV Dawntrail, you’ll need 800 Sacks of Nuts from participating inThe Hunt. You don’t need a Dawntrail-specific currency, so participating in even olderEndwalkerhunts is good enough to earn more Sacks of Nuts.

After you unlock Dawntrail Hunts, the Bluecoat Cat minion is available immediately. So, sprint off to that hunt NPC as soon as you can before adventuring too far into Tural. If you want to dive into the Hunt inDawntrail, you’ll need to have done a few things:

Where to find the Bluecoat Cat in Final Fantasy XIV

The Bluecoat Cat can be purchased from Ryubool Ja (X:13.9, Y:13.4), in the stall to the left of the Hunt Board in Tuliyollal. To get the kitty, you’ll need to part with 800 Sacks of Nuts.

You can get Sacks of Nuts by defeating Hunt Marks in anyShadowbringers,Endwalker, orDawntrailarea, but you won’t be able to access the Ryubool Ja’s wares until you’ve completed the above steps to unlock the Dawn Hunt.
