Cryston Components are one of the more difficult materials to obtain inArknights: Endfielddue to the extensive base development required. Since you’ll eventually need to mass-produce them, it’s valuable to optimize your production lines early, despite the challenges, so here’s everything you need to know to efficiently produce them.
How to make Cryston Components in Arknights: Endfield
Unlike many reagents inArknights: Endfield, Cryston Components are made from a large combination of other existing materials that all must be processed in the correct manner to be used. The production chain for Cryston Components is long and requires the use of several different base structures to achieve. This is a bumpy one, so strap in as I’m going to break the process down into digestible parts, for your clarity.
Required Base Structures for Cryston Components
Cryston Components require the use of several AIC Base Unit structures to be produced. Ideally, have these buildings built and ready in your inventory or Depot, so you don’t need to waste time crafting them once you jump into the production line. The following structures are required:
Due to the nature of Cryston Component crafting, you may or may not need several of these Units active at once, as some materials will use the same Unit structure to process a different material. I recommend having at leasttwo Shredding, Refining, and Grinding Units available before getting started.

Required Core Materials for Cryston Components
First, you’re going to need to gather four base materials before you can get started in the production. The required base materials are the following:
Every other material necessary for the production of Cryston Components will come from a processing line of a combination of these four core materials. Ensure that all four of these are beingmass-producedbefore you proceed further.

Sandleaf Seed Production Line
Make sure you have a constant flow ofSandleafbeing processed at aSeed-Picking Unit, then funneled into aPlanting Unitat all times before you start this step. It should look something like this:
This ensures you have an endless supply of Sandleaf being produced. This is required.

Required Advanced Materials for Cryston Components
There are two advanced materials necessary for crafting Cryston Components. Advanced in this process means they are the final reagents required to start producing Cryston Components directly. These are the following:
Using the above-mentioned materials will make full use of all four core materials via a production line. Both materials will use separate production lines to be made, then funneled into aGearing Unitto produce Cryston Components. Now let’s talk about those lines separately, with all materials and Units required in mind.

Production Line for Packed Origocrust
With Packed Origocrust now being made, one-half of the process to make Cryston Components is completed. Now, let’s talk about the other half, Cryston Fiber.
Production Line for Cryston Fiber
Now that you have both Advanced materials being produced in your base, it’s time to craft what you came here for. Fortunately, this is the easiest step.
Production Line for Cryston Components
Create two separate assembly lines for both yourPacked OrigocrustandCryston Fiber, and funnel both into a singleGearing Unit. The result will beCryston Components. Simple right?
Yes, but there are a few nuances you should be aware of. First, Cryston Components require10 secondsto be crafted at a Gearing Unit. This means you need to have 10 of both Advanced materials within the Gearing Unit within 10 seconds, every 10 seconds. Otherwise, you’ll end up with a major efficiency issue, and greatly slow the production of the Cryston Components.

Depending on how your base is set up, this can be somewhat difficult, but here are a few production line tips to help you with this process.
General Production Line Tips
What are Cryston Components used for in Arknights: Endfield?
Cryston Components are used primarily for craftingEpic (Purple) Gear. Purple Gear provides significant stat upgrades and access to powerful, build-defining set bonuses for all of your character. There will likely be future occasions where you’ll need a part of this material’s product line to produce other Cryston products for Outpost Missions as well.
