With a 15-20ish average playthrough time for Spider-Man 1, Insomniac Games could have gone off the deep end and filledSpider-Man 2with a lot of needless content bloat to try and “top” its mainline predecessor. Thankfully, that’s not the case. Let’s talk about roughly how long Spider-Man 2 will last you.

The main story of Spider-Man 2 is pretty breezy

Most players will likely end up in the neighborhood (ha!) of 15-20 hours for a straight story playthrough inSpider-Man 2.

You’ll be once again playing as Peter Parker (Spider-Man) and Miles Morales (Spider-Man), taking on new villains, while continuing the overarching mentor/student storyline from prior entries. Story missions are not gated: meaning, you can theoretically ignore everything else (beyond the story-related tutorials) and just go for a speedy campaign run. All you need to do is wait a few minutes between missions if you don’t already have a marker, and someone will call you up and give you one.

Finishing every pin on the map will take you another 10-ish hours

Just like the previous main title,Spider-Man 2will take around 30-35 hours to 100%. That includes both trophy hunting and a full 100% rating.

Most of the activities inSpider-Man 2are found on the world map of New York, which has expanded a bit in the sequel. Said activities mostly involve short bouts with waves of enemies, which can take several minutes to clear in many cases. In that respect, you’re able to knock out a ton of extracurricular sidequests in a short amount of time.
