Three missions, par for the course
There’s some confusion floating around regardingStarCraft II: Legacy of the Void‘s prologue section, so let me clear it up a bit for you. It’s calledWhispers of Oblivion, and it consists of three missions, which bridge the gap betweenHeart of the Swarmand the upcoming third piece of theStarCraft IIpuzzle,Void.Legacy of the Voidwill be a standalone game that concludes theStarCraftnarrative (for now, at least) — it’s set to debut in “winter” of 2015 or 2016.
Whisperswill arrivenear the launch of the proper game for free, butif you pre-purchaseVoidnow, you’ll gain instant access to the beta, as well as the prologue. In short, the prologue is par for the course, which is a good thing in my book. As weird as the story gets, the levels themselves are pretty fun.
