Following aprolonged bout of problems,Helldivers 2is now slowly clawing back its stability and a varied, satisfying meta almost across the board. Theplayerbase has fallen off a bit, but surprise content releases are still coming in, the latest of which are Tier 5 ship upgrades.
Notably, a small update recently unlocked six endgame-tier ship upgrades forHelldivers 2players to pour their resources into. And pouring resources into these ispreciselywhat we’ll need to be doing, as each of them necessitates a very hefty investment before the desired effect is unlocked. This isthe second time that we’ve received a surprise release of ship and Stratagem upgrades, it’s worth remembering, and from the look of things, it’s a fair bit more important than the previous release was.

New Helldivers 2 Tier 5 ship upgrades are now in
Unless you’re already a veteran Helldiver with hundreds of missions under your belt, it’s unlikely you’ll have enough resources and requisition to unlock any of the six new Tier 5 ship upgrades that just dropped inHelldivers 2. You’ll have to spend between 30,000 and 35,000 requisition per upgrade, specifically, alongside hundreds of sample specimens in one go. The resource investment is so steep, in fact, that each of these new Tier 5 upgrades is gettingprettyclose to the designated resource caps, which is a problem Arrowhead Games may have to contend with in due time.
Here’s the full list of new Tier 5 ship upgrades inHelldivers 2, with all of their effects:

All in all, it’s a fairly impressive showing that’s going to have experienced Helldivers itching at the bits to unlock each and every one of these upgrades. The 10% Support Weapon reload timer decrease alone is a huge deal, but Morale Augmentation’s effects are basically a must-have, too. To say nothing of the Mortars’ newfound ability to target whatever enemy (or hard target!) you designate for them. This adds a whole new layer of usefulness to these Stratagems, and it’s sure to be a popular choice no matter what.
Now, all that’s left for us to do is to actually scrounge up enough resources to unlock all these upgrades. It… uh, might take a while.
