As was announced during the July 10 State of Play,Ghost of Yoteiwill launch on Oct. 2 this year. Sucker Punch’s upcoming narrative-driven game is aiming for a PlayStation-only release initially, with a port likely to come some time after the fact. The exact region-specific release times have not been revealed yet, so our counter below will target Oct. 2 at midnight CDT.

Ghost of Yoteiisnot a direct sequeltoGhost of Tsushima. It is thematically and aesthetically connected to the game and shares much of its gameplay features with Sucker Punch’s first title. However, it is its own story, set over three centuries after the first game’s narrative—1603 to be exact.
