But why used models?

So, you’re headed up north to the lake house this weekend, but worried it might rain. What happens if you’re stuck indoors with nothing to do? Late-’90s movie marathon? Or, maybe you take upGameStop’s offerwith a bundle of seventh-generation used consoles at a relatively decent price.

GameStop is apparently itching to rid its warehouse of pre-owned seventh-gen consoles, as today it began selling athree-console bundle for $159.99. This gets you a PlayStation 3 160GB Slim, Xbox 360 White, and Nintendo Wii in pre-owned condition. The pricing isn’t too bad considering Best Buy is selling pre-owned 120GB PS3s for $159.99.

These aren’t completely bare-bone kits from GameStop, either. While you don’t get any games in the bundle, you will get a controller for each console and a 20GB external hard drive bonus for the Xbox 360.

The offer is online-only (no store pickup available). Unfortunately shipping is not free, and will cost $7.99 for four to seven business days. You can pay for faster shipping with the most expensive being one-day for $15.99. Expedited shipping would negate some of the value of this deal, but also get you the equipment in time for say the 4th of July Weekend for that trip up the lake house — because you know, you’re a loaded guy buying old consoles.
