We’ve had consistently great things to say about Xbox Game Pass these past several months, but when it comes to Games with Gold, well, things tend to get a little funkier. The October 2019 lineup is no exception. It’s jarring to see a Halloween staple likeFriday the 13th: The Gamesit beside Disney’sBolt.
Then there’sTembo the Badass Elephant–one of the rare non-Pokémoncuriosities out of Game Freak–andNinja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, a game that tried but fell short of Team Ninja’s past home runs.
There’s fun to be had, but talk about an uneven bunch.
