Definitely not #Darksiders2
Although it doesn’t really add anything new, I really enjoyed playing throughDarksiders IIagain with the newDeathinitive Edition. But it appears as if the remaster is being used for a higher purpose — re-igniting interest forDarksiders III.
According to a post from a developer by way of the Steam forums, “Deathinitive Editionwas just the start.” The post goes on to state, “we were looking for options for doing aDS3. The remaster was just a way to get some spotlight on the franchise again, reactivate the community and have a better starting position forDS3.”
It sounds like all is going according to plan so far. I’m a big proponent of moreDarksiders, and I’ve love to see the story conclude one day. It would be a long time in the making, but if it happens at all, that’s fine with me.
