Now that the stellar anime seriesEdgerunnershas seemingly made everyone forget the disaster that was theCyberpunk 2077launch, the merchandising machine can move back into full gear — Presented for your consideration: An original novel set within CDPR’s hi-tech universe, which will release in 2023.
The novel “No Coincidence” is not a direct adaptation of its source material’s narrative, but will instead be a standalone story from the avenues and alleyways of Night City. Penned by Polish author Rafał Kosik, the book will no doubt contain the sleazy customers, upmarket locales, and dangerous dealings of the gorgeous-looking, but ultimately extremely dangerous ‘berg.

TheCyberpunk 2077team has also confirmed that No Coincidence is a full novel, not a comic book.
The new novel, “Cyberpunk 2077: No Coincidence, " is coming to bookstores in August 2023.

Written by Rafał Kosik, “No Coincidence” tells a story about a group of strangers as they discover the dangers of Night City.

No doubt the literary adventures ofCyberpunk 2077‘s metal mickeys and minnies will help plug the gap while players wait for DLC expansionPhantom Liberty, which is also currently scheduled for launch at some point in 2023. Earlier this month, CD Projekt RED confirmed thatCyberpunk 2077will be receiving a sequelat some point in the far-flung future. So while it might have had something of a rough start, it seems that CDPR is hoping to get its slippery new franchise back on stable rails.
