Once a huge embarrassment for CD Projekt Red,Cyberpunk 2077has managed to turn the tides to become a pretty big hit in the first-person, sci-fi, dystopian, Keanu Reeves-heavy, RPG genre (so niche). However, as we move forward, the studio is almost ready to say goodbye to the game.
In a recent interview withGame File, Gabe Amatangelo –Cyberpunk 2077‘s director – revisited the dark days of December 2020, when CDPR’s new RPG was finally released. With the launch of last year’sPhantom LibertyDLC, the game is thankfully now in much better standing than it was several years ago.

Towards the end of the interview, it becomes apparent that the developer is ready to leave2077behind for good, saying, “we’re done.” However, it’s possible there will be a few more bits and pieces “here or there,” though the team is now fully moving onto new projects.
