Drama and intrigue arrive on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5

Paradox Interactive is bringing its medieval strategy to consoles.Crusader Kings IIIwill launch on June 26, 2025 for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

The port comes in partnership with the team at Lab42, and adapts the grand strategy planning and intrigue ofCrusader Kings IIIto console play. The traditionally PC-focused series will have an interface and control scheme adapted for controllers and large screens. Triggers and analog sticks will be your go-to tools for flicking between menus.

Crusader Kings IIIwill also make use of next-gen hardware tech, including fast loading times, Quick Resume swapping, and Adaptive Trigger feedback. Yes, as your character gets more stressed,more resistance will be appliedto the DualSense’s triggers. It’s a very relatable feature.

The console version ofCrusader Kings IIIwasrevealed last year, bringing the series onto TV-attached boxes. Considering the reputationCrusader Kingshas held as afascinating, sometimes-bizarrerepresentation of medieval lineage and intrigue, this is pretty exciting news for strategy fans who haven’t picked up a PC yet.
