For now, you can toggle a few options

TheResident Evil 4remake has had enough time to marinate, and things are looking good for it:in terms of its overall impact on the industry in 2023, andits legacy going forward. There is one small visual problem though, isolated to just the PS5 version. It’s what Capcom is dubbingthe “flickering lights issue in the PS5 version,” which gets the entire point across in just a few words. I actually had this problem happen when I first booted up the game (and a few subsequent rounds after that), but it went away after a power cycle. Let’s look at how to temporarily fix it while a patch is being worked on.

Capcom is working on a fix, but here’s a temporary one for the PS5 screen flickering issue

So far Capcom is handling this pretty well; given that they’ve acknowledged the problem publiclyandoffered a fix.

Here are the steps Capcom has offered via the game’s option menu:

Wuyang OW2 ultimate

For me, restarting the game (and power cycling my TV) managed to do the trick. One out of every three times I booted up the game the screen flickering was present, but once I cycled everything, I was good to go for the entire session. Inconvenient for sure, but it’s nice to know a permanent fix is on the way.
