Battlefield 3came out with a plan to cut intoCall of Duty‘s market, but according to the latest results of this money-fueled pissing contest, Activision’s franchise is still the clear victor. It turns out thatModern Warfare 2andBlack Opsare both being played more than DICE’s shooter on Xbox Live.
The obvious retort is to ask for PC statistics, which would be harder to gauge considering the different distribution methods and retailers. Not to mention, I have a feeling the PC just isn’t where EA was planning to fight the Xbox-focusedCall of Dutyfranchise.

In any case, Xbox Live is a very important battleground and forBattlefield 3to not surpass a two-year-old game on that front is telling. EA’s military FPS is doing pretty well, but it seems the franchise just can’t do well enough to tear gamers away from theirCOD.
