Whether you know it from the 1987 Atari ST original or ports like the 1990 Game Boy version,Bubble Ghostis BACK, baby! The aptly-titledBubble Ghost Remakegives the puzzle-adventure a fresh look, and it’s set to launch on Switch and PC on March 27.
The concept ofBubble Ghost—which French developer Christophe Andréani created nearly 40 years ago—is right there in the title. As the titular ghost, players are tasked with guiding a bubble through an increasingly complex and treacherous mansion with nothing but the power of their breath. If you believe in both ghostsandbubbles, you can see how developer Nakama Game Studio’s new take on the classic looks in action below.

In addition to a global release on PC (via Steam) and Switch,Bubble Ghost Remakewill get a physical release in North America and Europe. The standard edition will be available in both regions, while Europe will get an exclusive Collector’s Edition through “European specialist retailers.”
Pictured below, the Collector’s Edition packs the Switch version of the game in an oversized box with a bunch of physical extras. There’s a CD of the soundtrack by Fran Romguer, a handful of stickers, an acrylic standee, and a prequel comic the dev team put together.

The updated version ofBubble Ghostfeatures Story, Arcade, Challenge, and Speedrun modes. There are three difficulty levels, and alternate endings offer some replay incentive.
AllBubble Ghost Remakereally needs to succeed is some variation on the incredibly catchy musicHitoshi Sakimoto(Vagrant Story,Final Fantasy XII) composed for the Game Boy version. Nowthoseare some bubble-blowin’ jams.
