*Mute and *Hyun-ae await!

Visual novels are cool games, but if there’s a pet peeve I’ve developed with the genre lately, it’s that most of them are PC-based. Visual Novels, dating sims, and the like are the perfect type of game to play on mobile and tablet platforms, but  few good ones have made their way over. Add one more to that small (but growing) list: Christine Love’sAnalogue: A Hate Story. Love announced on her blog that the game’s finally headed to iOS, and the port will be handled by Golden Gear games.

But Apple devices aren’t the only thingsAnalogueis going to: The game is also going to be ported to…the Japanese language. That fits, given that Japanese gamers are probably the most receptive audience to the idea of visual novels. Plus,Analogueis already available in Korean, so with Japan taken care of, all we’ll need is a Chinese translation to tick off the “East Asia” language bloc.
