Vehicles-to-life
Skylanderspioneered the recent toys-to-life market, and from there, moved on to giant figures, then to swappable toys, and eventually, to “traps.” Now Activision is taking the series to vehicles withSuperChargers.
Evidently maps will be more open to accommodate the new playstyle, and there will still be plenty of on-foot combat and puzzles to be had. There’s also a new type of hero called the SuperChargers. So what’s the wallet damage? 20 new characters and 20 new toys. Oh, and characters cancombinewith their “signature vehicles” for extra stats. Activision notes that there are over 300 toys for the series at this point. Yowza!

Unlike a lot of games these days,Skylanders SuperChargerswill be available on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, Wii U — different versions are being made for Wii, 3DS, and iPad. It’ll debut on September 20.
