Following the previousAce Attorneycollections, Capcom is doing one for theAce Attorney Investigationsspin-off duology. Not only does this mean the two games will be available on modern hardware, but this marks the second game’s debut in the West.
For context, the originalAce Attorney Investigations, which sees you play as prosecutor Miles Edgeworth as he solves crimes, came out in 2010. Its sequel launched just a year later in 2011, but only in Japan, with Capcom opting not to localise it. Fans did come together to make their own translation, but many had assumed the game would never officially come to the West.
Capcom seems eager to pushAce Attorneymore nowadays, as evidenced by how all the mainline games are readily available. This includesThe Great Ace Attorneyduology, which was also Japan-only for many years. All in all, fans of the series are eating well.
This new collection will feature enhanced visuals, with more fluid and detail character animations, but there will be an option to switch to the original graphics as seen in the DS versions. Obviously, this won’t be a Switch exclusive and will also launch on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Pre-orders are already available for the collection, which is scheduled to launch on September 6.
