Tweets throughout this month set the stage for the would-be game, which is seemingly starting to come together. While funding is the big unknown right now (Kickstarter?), artist Steven Hurst and composer Grant Kirkhope are both on board. An earlier Tweetmentions that“Unity will probably be perfect for our spiritual successor. I’m thinking keeping level of detail and googly eyes close to the original.”
As a huge fan of Rare’s N64-era work, there are few types of games I miss more than 3D platformers in that same vein. When this console generation started, I imagined the possibilities of what those titles could become, but such daydreams never panned out.
