Pokkén Tournament, or at least the collaborative project between The Pokémon Company and Bandai Namco that eventually becamePokkén Tournament, wasn’t always a fighting game. According to Bandai Namco fighting game chief Katsuhiro Harada, speaking withThe Verge, the studio initially wanted to partner up on aPokemon-themed version ofTaiko: Drum Master. The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara had other plans, though, and instead insisted that any cross-over with Bandai Namco involve the developer’sTekkenfranchise....

Did you know it costs a lot of money to get your game rated by the ESRB? I didn’t, and it seems that PSP Minis developersdidn’t know it either. Unlike iPhone Apps, PSP Minis need to receive ESRB approval before they can be sold, and it seems that those making the small-size games weren’t prepared for the hit. “[PSP development is] definitely more serious business and not for casual non-developers,” explains Sergei Gourski, developer of App Store/PSP Minis gameFieldrunners....

Robot Entertainment, a game studio formed entirely by ex-Ensemble Studios employees, was created back in Februarywith relatively little fanfare. Since the initial announcement, there hasn’t been much talk about the studio, or what they’ve been working on.
