Sweet woodblock prints that feature VG stars as samurai

Jed Henry is just your typical web artist. He loves videogames and desires to express that love through his talents. So he does what any game-loving illustrator would naturally do: render his favorite heroes and heroines as old-school samurai in the style of Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock prints. He has only made three pieces so far — Samus, Mega Man, and Link — but he plans to keep the rhythm going week after week....

The Podcastle episode 4 records on the morrow

Episode four ofThe Podcastlewill be recording Sunday afternoon and will feature yours truly, along with able bodied and strong-thighed cohorts in Wardrox (don’t read his blog) and Atheistium (hates Mario). This week, we will be spending our discussion half of the show isolating and studying the much-despised delays that European versions of videogames get afflicted with. One of the most common and irritating examples of the European market getting the shaft, obnoxious videogame delays are a blight and need to be fought with plenty of swearing and abuse of Wardrox, because it’s partly his fault....

Watch Mike Patton become The Darkness in this video

In my mind,Mike Pattonis absolutely one of the best parts ofThe Darknessvideogames. Possibly even the best. It’s like he has a demon living inside of him that’s only there to help him produce sounds no human should be able to. SinceThe Darkness IIhas been out for a couple of weeks now, 2K Games put out a fun behind-the-scenes video showcasing Patton’s voice acting. We Happy Few puts a new face on survival, but it’s not ready for its close-up yet

Ode to No Joy When it took the stage at Microsoft’s E3 presentation this year, Compulsion Games’We Happy Fewwas easily one of the most intriguing titles of the show, promising a trippy story set in the drug-addled English township of Wellington Wells. Cut to today, and while I’m not exactly chuffed thatWe Happy Fewis a far different game than the one that I was initially expecting (maybe I should’ve readBen’s takefirst), it has been a pleasant surprise, even if it isn’t quite ready for prime time....
