It’s like a less-polished DmC, essentially Deadpool has been a favorite of mine ever since I got into Marvel comics years ago. So I was pretty delighted when High Moon Studiosannounced it’d be working onaDeadpoolgame. The studio has done a rather good job with theTransformerslicense, and for the most partDeadpool: The Gameis pretty decent based on what I got to play recently. Basically, imagineDmC’scombat mechanics, but just not as polished. Don’t get me wrong, I liked my time withDeadpooland know I’ll enjoy the game when it’s released, but I think you’re going to have to be a Marvel fan in general to appreciate this one....

Conjuring universe officially a thing Look, I know the wholeConjuringcinematic horror universe has been around for a bit now, but I wouldn’t have called it anything serious.The Nunchanged that. It’s now event cinema, not just another horror film. The movie’s $131 million global box office delivered the second largest September opening ever and it’s $53.5 million domestic box destroys any of the other films in the franchise easily. It’s not those totals that make the CCU a thing, though, it’s the fact that people showed up even though the movie wasn’t that good....

The beta starts today As more and more news comes out about thePhantasy Star Online 2western beta, it all seems like the localization team is doing right by it. Not only did we learn recently that the gamewill support both English and Japanese audio, but thanks to another vigilant Twitter account response, we now know that the beta will allow mouse and keyboard support on Xbox One. Based on how great the fan interactions have been so far, Sega seems all-in on this release....

Financials for Funcom for this last quarter show disappointing results for their newest, MMOThe Secret World. The game sold only 200,000 copies since its June 29th launch, despitemore than half a millionplayers having signed up for the beta. They blame low scores in the press as well as launching along PC giants likeDiablo IIIandGuild Wars 2. That’s definitely a one-two punch. As a result, the company will be cutting costs and staff....

One of the minds behindMaverick HunterandMega Man: Powered Uphas crafted a new take on the Mega Man X character, and I really dig it. Due to fan interest, the figure has been greenlit and will get sent off for production in the near future. There will be a Kickstarter to assist said production and fine tune the figure, but it will be created anyway....

Today, Square Enix has announced its plans to released three new “expansion scenarios” for their MMO,Final Fantasy XI. All three expansions were created by series veteran Masato Kato. No pricing has been announced, but Square says the first of the three expansions, the curiously-named “A Crystalline Prophecy – Ode of the Life Bestowing,” will be available in Spring of 2009. The following two expansions, “A Moogle Kupo d’Etat – Evil in Small Doses” and “A Shantotto Ascension – The Legend Torn, Her Empire” born will be released a few months followings the first expansions release....

Not-so-undercover operations A recent blog post by publisher Ubisoft appears to have leaked a street date for the frequently delayed monster zapperRainbow Six Extraction. In a write-up on the Ubisoft blog, it was noted that the title will launch July 17, 2025. The since-removed blog postwas spotted by VGC, and offers the first potential street date for the sci-fi/military shooter which, (among several other Ubisoft releases), was hit with amajor delay back in 2020, followed bya further delayin July of this year....

You just need to look how much it costs to buy the average AAA release orXbox increasing Game Pass pricesagain to see that. But how much is it worth in total?
