Hirai: PSPgo had an audience, honest!

The PSPgo has been written off by most people as a failure. That would include the game industry itself, since we only ever get PSP-3000 bundles/special editions and the PlayStation Network is woefully undersupported when it comes to PSP games. Still, despite even Sony itself trying to forget the PSPgo, Kaz Hirai insists it had an audience. “I think we did cater for a market, albeit not as big as the traditional PSP-3000 market,” says the Sony Computer Entertainment boss....

Human: Fall Flat now has a PS5 version and it’s a free upgrade

I’m expecting some chunky haptics Human: Fall Flat, one of my couch co-op games of choice, just got a PlayStation 5 version. Current players can simply upgrade their PS4 version for free on thePlayStation Store, and new buyers can get both PS4 and PS5 versions bundled together for $20. Here’s the trailer, though it’s more of a general montage than anything PS5-specific. That said, the video does mention haptic feedback (as you’d expect at this point), and given how left-and-right-trigger-focusedHuman: Fall Flatis, I hope it’s tuned well....

Kingdom Under Fire gets release date

Kind of likeDynasty Warriors, but with considerable RPG influences and four-player online co-op, it’s safe to say that the latest in theKingdom of Fireseries,Circle of Doom, is pretty high up on my shopping list. The game finally has a release date, and American players will be able to smash skeletons to bits on January 8th, 2008.Annoyingly, those stuck in the UK won’t get their hands on the title until February 1st....

Lazy people: Netflix queue management ‘is meant to be on the PC’

Netflix is easily one of the most used features on Microsoft’s New Xbox Experience. The integration allows users to queue up movies via their PC and stream them digitally through their Xbox 360. One of the loudest complaints about this process is the middleman – the PC. Why can’t you just pick a movie or a television show straight from the Netflix tab on the 360? It is because Netflix doesn’t want you to....

Madden 2008 simulation picks the Patriots as this year’s Super Bowl winner

EA’s annual Super BowlMaddenpredictions have picked the New England Patriots as this year’s Super Bowl XLII winners. The simulation has the Patriots beating the New York Giants 38 to 30. The last fiveMaddensimulations have been correct so a betting man might be wise to pick the Patroits as the winners this week. Or at the fact that the Patriots have been 19-0 this entire season. I’m not much of a football fan, but it would be amazing to see the Patriots go down in history as being the first team ever to get a perfection....

Microsoft has shipped one million Xbox One Elite controllers to date

Not sold, but still impressive Microsoft seemed to have struck gold withthe Elite controller. At launch it was on backorder for months, given the “overwhelming demand” for the $150 controller. Let me say that again for emphasis — this thing is $150. Even then, they don’t seem to have any trouble selling it, as Phil Spencer has noted that they have manufactured one million of them. Spencer doesn’t specifically say “sold” here (think “shipped”), but I think it’s particularly of note because it’s one of the best controllers I’ve ever used, and people really should consider it if they game primarily on PC and Xbox One....
