Remaster still on for ‘early 2015’ Capcom has uploaded new screenshots from its high-definitionResident Evilremaster for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. There’s a greater range of scenes and mutated enemies in this batch, including a Crimson Head, Lisa Trevor, Yawn, and those damned sharks. I am so down for this having played, oh, half an hour of the 2002 GameCube remake at a friend’s house. He was a survival horror fanatic and I just watched him play, most of the time....

It would appear that the recently releasedSly Collectionwas more than just a fond look back at a classic PlayStation 2 franchise. According to a teaser trailer that unlocks when players acquire all of the game’s Trophies,Sly 4is currently in development. How’s that for kick ass? The last we heard about a potentialSly Cooper 4was in Sucker Punch’s last game,inFAMOUS, where the title was teased in a very subtle Easter Egg. Not much happened beyond that, but this new teaser has pretty much sealed the deal....

You might want to be cautious playingPokemon ScarletandVioletfor the time being. Several players have reported that theirPokemon Scarlet / Violetsave files were wiped following themost recent game update, and there isn’t a clear cause just yet. Over on the game’s subreddit, as reported byKotaku, players have been discussing the issue. Reports of the issue arepopping up in a thread here, starting with “at least 5” and climbing from there. “Obviously this is a small number of players overall, but people need to be aware there is some level of risk,” wrote the original poster....

The blue devil I always felt like Sega and Atlus being part of the same company is a little weird, and now they’re making it official. In case you missed it, Sega releasedShin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2in 2018 worldwide, and you guessed it, it’s a gacha game. But what’s exceedingly more interesting than the monetization scheme is the various crossovers it entails. Like this one, from Sonic! Announced on the game’s official site, Sonic will be a “limited time only” demon,as a celebration of his 30th anniversary....

Will Sony fans get used to the idea? Pretty much the only thing people didn’t like about Sony’s E3 conference was that tiny little part where they announced that you’d have topay a subscription fee (PS+) to play games onlinewith the PS4. It was kind of a bombshell for some, but for others, it made sense giventhe value of PlayStation Plus. After being asked what went into the decision to charge for online gameplay, Sony explained that online features and services are going to be a “big pillar” of the PS4 experience....

Sony has collaborated with toy company Spin Master to bring a variety of new PlayStation figurines for gamers to collect. The new figurines are based on characters from Sony’s first-party titles such asGod of War Ragnarök,Horizon Forbidden West, andGhost of Tsushima. Aloy and Varl action figures Sony and Spin Master’s The Shapes Collection has introduced a figurine for Aloy fromHorizon Forbidden West. The 6-inch figure has 42 points of articulation and comes with 12 different accessories including multiple face plates and alternative hands, so as to offer customisation options for look and pose....

This thing is huge April 15 was my favorite day of 2016. Not only did it mark the return of the hilariousUnbreakable Kimmy Schmidton Netflix, but here in the States we finally gotBravely Second: End Layer. As the sequel to one of the best RPGs on Nintendo 3DS, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the game so I could add it to my collection of games I intend on but probably never will end up playing....

He’s almost too nefarious This morning, I woke up to a rather nice email from Amazon, noting that Bandai’sbadassMega Man XSigma figurewas shipping out. It came as a bit of a surprise, especially considering that the toy in question had a “TBA” date for months, but alas, it’s out now should you want to pick it up. Confusingly enough the page is still asking for pre-orders, but just know that if you’re willing to plunk down the $56 for the non-poseable statue, it has the distinct possibility of shipping any day now....

An interesting take at the start of a new generation The Last of Us: Remasteredis a real thing that’s happening on the PS4, and the visuals are reportedly too “remastered” that they almost didn’t fit on a standard Blu-Ray disc. Speaking to Edge, creative director Neil Druckmann stated, “Our cinematics are now running at 1080p and 60fps, and that involved rendering them all from scratch. It’s interesting that now instead of a technical bottleneck, the bottleneck is can we fit all this on the disc?...

Microsoft should have announced this with the Xbox Series X reveal Banjo-Threeieisn’t a real thing yet, but after watching this fan-crafted trailerfrom Project Dream, I want it to be.
