Art Attack Friday: Vicewolf

Art Attack Friday proudly shines its shiny light upon the artist known asVicewolf. As you can tell by the gallery here and athis Deviant, he loves to make his characters extremely happy. He also makes some nice mash-ups like theKatamari Damacypieces. Since I’ve been doing this feature I’ve noticed that I seem to focus more on the artists that make life-like recreations of characters. Rarely do I focus on the ones that make pieces that are just extremely cartoony....

Balrog’s got punches like a truck, truck, truck

Something something fight money Well, this is surprising. I find myself playing Balroga lotinStreet Fighter V. I generally judge how well I’ll perform by how efficient I can do their trials. I ended up doing terribly at Balrog’s trials, but have had really good success with him while training and online. I barely touched the guy inIV, and now he’s one of my go-to characters! His damage is like whoa, which goes well with his awfully intimidating look....

Clicking with Hoodwink

What’s with all these adventure games cropping up all over the place? It’s almost like people stilllovethesegamesorsomething. Well, until somebody warns the developers I shall keep enjoying them. The latest potential avenue for my enjoyment is an intriguing title calledHookwink;a delicious, almost edible, looking cell-shaded adventure game from E-One Studio. Apparently it harkens back to the days of yore, when adventure games were played from Lands End to John O’Groats (or Florida to Maine if you’d rather)....

Do you have a collectors/rare gaming item support system?

Or are you all alone, you against the world Every so often people ask me how I’m able to spot deals or get items that sell out instantly. Given that publishers typically aren’t sending collector’s editions or rare items out for review I have to sort of make it on my own, but over the years I’ve developed a support system of sorts that’s really helped me out. The whole amiibo craze really boosted my network, because for a while there, it was pretty dicey to get any figure, much less the store exclusives and anything in Wave 4....
